Ms. Clara Walton

About Clara Walton:

After experiencing first-hand the effects of this invasive and devastating disease in 1997, Clara Walton brought her passion and commitment to work to help others affected by it.  She became a support group facilitatior for Bosom Buddies of Georgia.  Her passion and vision influenced her movement to Regional Coordinator and member of the speaker's bureau of the American Cancer Society.  She launched the Clara Walton Foundation in early 2005.

The Clara Walton Foundation is a non-profit entity established to reach out to cancer patients and specifically to address the problems facing women with breast cancer.  CWF accomplishes its goal by building a resource structure made up of partners, sponsors, medical research groups, industry leaders and community leaders.  The Foundation's work consists of grassroots support efforts including health screenings, educational seminars and forums, support groups and financial support to victims.

Ms. Walton has traveled the country as a speaker on cancer issues and how they affect the African American Community.
